Kings Blu Jam Cafe - Kitchen Nightmares Update

On this week's episode of Kitchen Nightmares, Gordon Ramsay is in Spring, Texas to help out the restaurant Kings Blu Jam Cafe.  Kings Blue Jam Cafe is a Cajun themed breakfast, brunch, and lunch restaurant that has a menu that is too large.  There is also miscommunication between the employees which is causing issues.  Gordon will need to reduce the size of the menu and work through all the other issues to make this restaurant a success.

Kitchen Nightmares visited Kings Blu Jam Cafe in May 2023 to film the episode, and I searched around the Internet to read stories, comments and reviews about Kings Blu Jam Cafe to get an idea of how the restaurant is doing since Gordon Ramsay visited, and here is what I found (note - all reviews are post Kitchen Nightmares):

Positive Reviews:

• "The atmosphere was very inviting! Overall very clean. They were playing 80s ballad so perfect for a nice brunch. Anthony was our server and was super cool, you can tell he enjoys working there and puts forth the effort into making it a pleasant experience."
• "Great spot for breakfast. The best waffle I've ever had! You definitely must stop by."
• "I have been going here once a month or so for a couple years. Recent remodel and menu consolidation are great. Always friendly, food is good, quick service. A terrific local spot."

• "I was really looking forward to this experience. The greeting, the service, and my coffee were great. I was a little disappointed, the chicken and waffles. The chicken was well seasoned, but overcooked making it dry. The flavor of the waffles was plain and absolutely needed syrup. Gonna give it another shot and I hope I'm not disappointed."
• "Decor was very old fashion cafe which is ok if you like that style. Service was much better than when I last visited. Burger was good but needs seasoning and would have been much better if served with fresh cut fries (these seemed to be from frozen fries but I could be wrong). Husband had corn beef hash and said he gives it a 3....good but not stellar. If this is Cajun flare, more seasoning is needed"
• "Local fresh from Krogers, disgusting food, this is not a cajun place. Very rude staff and managers."

Conclusion:

The reviews for Kings Blu Jam Cafe since the Kitchen Nightmares makeover have been mostly positive with people liking the food and service.  Multiple people said that the wait times have improved and the service is much faster.  Gordon Ramsay reduced the menu size by a lot, but Kings Blue Jam Cafe has also added some customer favorites back to the menu.
