Voleo's Seafood Restaurant - Kitchen Nightmares Update

On this week's episode of Kitchen Nightmares, Gordon Ramsay is in Westwego, Louisiana to help out Voleo's Seafood Restaurant.  This is a Road to Superbowl LIX episode that focuses on New Orleans area restaurants.  Voleo's Seafood Restaurant is a family-run restaurant that is struggling to stay open after the damage caused by Hurricane Ida in 2021.  The hurricane damaged the original location in Lafitte, LA and they moved to Westwego, LA.

Kitchen Nightmares visited Voleo's Seafood Restaurant in September 2024 to film the episode, and I searched around the Internet to read stories, comments and reviews about Voleo's Seafood Restaurant to get an idea of how the restaurant is doing since Gordon Ramsay visited, and here is what I found (note - all reviews are post Kitchen Nightmares):

Positive Reviews:

• "Wow, what a find!! When you are in the area check it out. Had the fried shrimp - came with jambalaya, Texas toast, and a side salad. My friend had the eggplant pasta. Both meals were great. Service was fast. Place was clean. Highly recommend. Will go back."
• "The food was fantastic! Barbara, our server with the cute earrings & apron, made our time at the restaurant a lot of fun."
• "This place was awesome. Great food and service. It's an old school dinner."

• "Was told to have seat anywhere when we walked in, about 5 minutes in waitress said she was coming. She made her rounds and didn't bring a menu. Then they started taking walk in to go orders, and we finally walked out after about 20 minutes."

Conclusion:

The reviews for Voleo's Seafood Restaurant since the Kitchen Nightmares makeover are pretty much all positive with people liking the food, friendly service, and large portions.  The reviews before the makeover were also very positive with all of the review sites having 4.5-star rating averages for Voleo's Seafood Restaurant.  With positive reviews and good food, the publicity that Kitchen Nightmares brings should help boost Voleo's Seafood Restaurant.
