Kindred Restaurant - Kitchen Nightmares Update - Closed Already

On this week's episode of Kitchen Nightmares, Gordon Ramsay is in New Orleans, Louisiana to help out the restaurant Kindred.  This is a Road to Superbowl LIX episode that focuses on New Orleans restaurants.  Kindred is a vegan restaurant that is struggling with its direction and is very disorganized. While Gordon is at the restaurant he finds a disgusting kitchen and threatens to leave.

Kitchen Nightmares visited Kindred in September 2024 to film the episode, and I searched around the Internet to read stories, comments and reviews about Kindred to get an idea of how the restaurant is doing since Gordon Ramsay visited, and here is what I found (note - all reviews are post Kitchen Nightmares):

Kindred closed in December 2024, just a few months after filming Kitchen Nightmares, so this will not be a normal update with reviews.

Other News and Links:

• The Kitchen Nightmares makeover for Kindred happened in September 2024. 
• Here is the Kindred website and Facebook page.  
• On December 24th, 2024, the restaurant posted the following message on their Facebook page, "New Orleans, Thanks for 5 years! But, our time is coming to an end. We will be open Thursday, Friday & Saturday of this week 5pm-10pm. We hope you visit us one more time before we shut our doors for good! Thanks again!"
• This means their last day in business was December 28th, 2024, which was about three months after the Kitchen Nightmares visit and before their episode aired.
• Here are the reviews for Kindred on Yelp, TripAdvisor, and Google. 
• Kindred had above 4-star averages on the review sites, but there weren't too many reviews after the show visited and before they closed.

Conclusion:

Kindred closed in December 2024, but didn't give the exact reason for closing in their message to customers. With the Kitchen Nightmares makeover happening in late September, the restaurant only stayed open for about three months after Gordon Ramsay tried to help them out.  The restaurant was closed before their episode first aired on television.
