On this week's episode of Kitchen Nightmares, Gordon Ramsay is in New Orleans, Louisiana to help out the restaurant Iberville Cuisine. This is a Road to Superbowl LIX episode that focuses on New Orleans restaurants. While Gordon is at the restaurant he is served two-day old oysters that are covered in dirt or clay and he refuses to eat them. He will need to clean up this restaurant if they want to be successful.
Positive Reviews:
- "Great food! It's a hidden gem in the quarter. So far I've had shrimp and grits, fish and grits, and beignets. All were wonderful"
- "Excellent Cajun restaurant! The shrimp grits were excellent. It’s clean and neat – I highly recommend!"
- "We love the food and atmosphere at Iberville Cuisine! The restaurant reminds me of an elegant supper club back in the day with a singer who can sing the standards, jazz and everything in between. You can enjoy music for adults and have a conversation at your table. There are TV’s for the sports fanatics or sit at the bar where the friendly bartenders will make delicious and colorful drinks. This is a great place and the staff treats you like family."
Negative Reviews:
- "Asked for a vodka soda, got tequila and soda. Chargrilled oysters brought out cold. Didn't finish them. A table nearby had beignets that looked like lumps if charcoal they were so dark. Another table next to us got gumbo and had to ask multiple times for a spoon. One waitress working on Friday night. This was near our hotel and the only reason we tried it. Don't look at the google reviews, very misleading. Paid our tab and wandered down to clover grill, which I highly recommend."
- "We recently went to New Orleans for a Saints game and stopped by for dinner. We were one of the 3 groups seated in establishment during peak hrs (7pm-ish). The service from the waitresses was poor without providing salt upon multiple requests. All of the food I received was charred including the blackened drum, crab cake, and brussel sprouts... It took us 45 min. to receive our food with no waiters or waitresses present for 5+ min. on multiple occasions in the dining area...I do not recommend this place. The food is horrible for the price and limited selection."
- "Let me start by saying we ate here last year and had a wonderful experience. The place had been open for about 2 months, had a full menu to choose from and we had a blast with the owners at that time. Last night was not remotely close to that experience.. I sat down and looked at the paper in front of me and realized what I was seeing was five items on the menu selection....our crab cake came out and it was cooked in bad grease. The martinis were literally undrinkable. That was it, we asked for our check...How can a restaurant be this bad? Especially when Acme Oyster House and Deanie's are steps away? I can not in good conscience remotely recommend Iberville Cuisine. Quite frankly it was horrible."
- "so so so slow. came in and no one told us to seat ourselves or wait to be seated. sat and waiting at least 10-15 minutes to order then sat for over an hour waiting on our food. Severely unstaffed, cups all over the bar because they don't have enough people working to keep the place clean. do not recommend"

Conclusion:
The reviews for Iberville Cuisine are a bit negative with people complaining about both the food and service. While there are some negative reviews about the food, there are also a few positive ones. It seems that reviews have not improved and multiple reviews say that the restaurant was empty when they dined there, which isn't a good sign. Maybe the Kitchen Nightmares episode airing can help bring customers in, but they will need to improve to try to keep them as customers.
