Lowery's Seafood Restaurant in Tappahannock, Virginia, which appeared on season 3 of 24 Hours to Hell and Back has closed. The restaurant closed in 2020 and they filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy in August 2020, later converting to a chapter 7 liquidation in September 2020 (Link).
The closure of the restaurant comes after more than 80 years in business. You may recall in the episode update that the building was for sale before Gordon Ramsay did the makeover for 24 Hours to Hell and Back. The closure came less than a year after the show aired.
Despite filing for bankruptcy in 2020, the building remains for sale as of writing this and the MLS listing states, "Are you ready to make the move and start your own restaurant, Brewery, wine shop, at this well-equipped fully furnished seafood restaurant is ready to open. Established in 1938 with a reputation throughout the east coast for good seafood and a family atmosphere. Located in a small riverfront town on a major highway between Richmond and Northern Virginia with over 25,000 car count per day $400K gets fully equipped restaurant business and lease all the space you need or just part, 2 mil gets you building everything"
So it appears the building is available for lease or purchase.
